Job Summary: The Quality Assurance & Technical Support Associate is responsible for managing and executing tasks and projects assigned by the Director of Quality & Technical Excellence to support all entities within the organization. The tasks will relate to design and consultancy projects, Field work, and Pre-Sales and after sales dealer support, and networking configuration and assistance. This may include project coordination and oversite, standard audits, systems commissioning and calibration, and on/off site coordination.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: · Follow up on tasks and project coordination assigned by the Director of Quality & Technical Excellence · Network configuration, set up and trouble shooting · Support dealers with technical know-how and site supervision · Coordination with project teams setting up and executing projects · Setup and configure different systems ranging from Network to Audio Distribution to Control · Assist project managers regarding design and documentation issues · Fielding technical inquiries that arise from project integrators pre-sales and post sales. · Perform periodical reviews/audits, of operations and running projects · Ongoing research and learning in our industry · Perform Audio and Video Calibration of high-performance entertainment spaces · Track and report progress to relevant stakeholders · Ensure proper documentation of all tasks and issues
Dealer Support · Act as a consultant to clients, understanding their specific needs, and providing tailored solutions. · Provide dealers with technical, sales and design support · Create and develop ways for improved dealer response times · Ensure dealer overall satisfaction with GRMS · Provide Post Sales and overall technical support, pertaining to core GR Media value propositions and our core brands. · Audio (Bowers, Sonance, etc.) · Video (Barco, Sony, Stewart, etc.) · Lighting (Lutron, Dyanlite, etc.) · Automation (Crestron, Josh, etc.) · Network WiFi (Alta Labs, etc.) · Key Product Categories, or knowledge of such, will help tremendously: · Outdoor AV · Distributed Audio · Distributed Video · HiFi Systems · Cinema & Media Rooms · Etc. · Full Brand List (Per GRMS profile/website)

Education Requirements: · Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, , Electrical Engineering or equivalent. |
Work Experience Requirements: · Home Automation implementation experience · Audio/Video related experience (pro and residential)
Required Credentials, Certifications and Qualifications · Cedia Certification
Required Experience · 3-5 years or more experience within the residential systems integration industry or related industry
Required Technical and Job Knowledge · Field and theoretical experience in Home technology & Home Cinema · Experience in light control · Experience in cross functional team collaboration and influencing without authority · Experience in simple home networks configuration · Experience in Project coordination. PMP Certification is a plus · Experience with musical instruments and/or music production is a plus The Ideal Candidate will demonstrate proficiency in: · Understanding how to support all our brands · Have demonstrated troubleshooting experience (on-site, post sales, etc.), coupled with general knowledge of industry and ‘cedia brands’ · Be able to talk to suppliers, negotiate, as needed · Be able to talk to end users or end user reps, as needed · Support members of the Service Center team Required Computer Skills · MS Office and Teams proficient |
